Music for the Unborn Baby

- How does Sonic Stimulation Work?

Repetition forms 'pre-intelligence' or the basis of learning. Your baby will advance by building on previous experiences and comparing new sensations but your baby can only understand and differentiate between these sensations if they are presented in an organised way, otherwise he will probably forget or ignore them.

If you study the Music for the Unborn Baby sound diagram you will see Level 1 consists of just sound A - a simple, regular, clear pattern. By repeating this pattern at the same time everyday your baby will become accustomed to the sound. After 2 weeks you change to Level 2. This contains the familiar sound A, but introduces an additional sound (B).
After a week of your baby learning this simple pattern, you introduce Level 3 which adds another new sound (C) to the comforting familiar pattern. This pattern continues through all 8 levels and each level is 25 minutes in duration. Bear in mind, all added sounds use carefully chosen frequencies that will pass through the abdominal wall without any harsh or unsettling noises. The entire program is at the calm pace of 66 beats per minute - about the pace of the relaxed human heartbeat.

You should also bear in mind that whilst the program is surprisingly relaxing for the mother to listen to, some may find the pattern a little too monotonous for adult appreciation. Your baby is likely to kick and wriggle at points during the program. This is quite normal and a sign that your baby is being stimulated.

What mums have told us...

"I used the CDs religiously with my first baby. She has turned out very bright, social and aware of what's going on. I would certainly recommend the CDs to anyone wanting the best start for their baby." L Lewis. Leicester
